Sokoto students in diaspora: Tambuwal advocates perseverance, decorum

Sokoto State Governor, Aminu Waziri Tambuwal has charged Nigerian students of Sokoto extraction studying abroad to sustain their steadfastness and discipline while pursuing their studies.

The governor gave the charge in Khartoum, Sudan when he attended the graduation ceremony of Medical and Health students sponsored by the state government in various institutions of learning in the country.

While congratulating the graduating students, the governor praised them for their determination and decency while facing uncertain about the completion of their studies due to skyrocketing forex issues.
A statement issued by Muhammad Bello, the Special Adviser on Media and Publicity to the governor quoted him saying ” your exhibition of good conduct, a hallmark of the typical upbringing of Sokoto citizens, has reflected in in your milestone performances which today makes the state proud.”

He, therefore, on behalf of the government and good people of Sokoto State, felicitated with them on their accomplishments.

Highlights of the event held at the Friendship Hall of Khartoum near Corinthia Hotel, Sudan Republic was the presentation of a merit award to Governor Tambuwal for his diligence, and commitment to not only students but good peoples of Sokoto State, by the indigene students studying in Sudan.

A similar award was given to the Governor by one of the universities from which the students graduated
