The chairman of Plateau State House of Assembly Committee on Finance, Hon. Wallok Goma has visited the state Ministry of Finance to seek collaboration and clarifications regarding the financial performance of the state.
He disclosed this during the visit at JD Gomwalk Secratariat Jos, stressing that oversight function is a necessary responsibility that must be carried out by lawmakers.
“So there is need for the House to be satisfied with what has been done so far before looking into the year’s budget,” he noted.
Responding, the representative of state Commissioner of Finance, Dr. (Mrs.) Regina Somlat, who is the Permanent Secretary of the ministry, Sani Yahaya, expressed delight with the lawmakers’ visit, assuring them of the outfit’s cooperation.
