The Director General/Chief Executive of the Small and Medium Enterprises Development Agency (SMEDAN), Dr. Umar Dikkko Radda has pledged to introduce measures towards creating wealth and job opportunities for the nation’s youths.
Radda, who spoke with newsmen in Katsina recently, said his reappointment as DG of SMEDAN has gingered him to assist youths to become self-reliant.

He said within the next five years, SMEDAN would focus attention for micro and small business through collaboration of stakeholders in all the 36 states.
Radda commended the Federal Government for providing N75 billion to minimize hardship caused by COVID-19 pandemic to revive activities of small and medium enterprises.
He also commended President Muhammadu Buhari for releasing capital fund for the year 2020, describing the action of the president as encouragement and motivation.
On Gwagware Foundation which is an NGO, Dr. Radda said the NGO was set up and financed by a group of friends including himself to assist the needy.
He said Gwagware Foundation, which works in collaboration with traditional rulers and Islamic Ulama has within last six years assisted widows, orphans, provided scholarship to less-privileged students and trained unemployed youths.
