The Minster for Water Resources, Engr. Sulaiman Adamu Kazaure has eulogized President Muhammadu Buhari for shaping nation`s democracy with hope.
Engr. Adamu, who stated this during an organized town hall meeting with civil society and youth leaders in Jigawa State held in Kazaure recently, noted that when the present administration came on board on May 29, 2015, it promised to provide qualitative and effective leadership that would transform people and community through good governance and rule of law, explaining that between then and now, so many exciting events have been happening.
The minister said commendable measure of impact has been created in agriculture, health, education, housing, rural development and economic empowerment, saying that: “It is our belief that the present government under the leadership of President Muhammadu Buhari will sustain its present tempo of development-oriented leadership in the next years ahead, despite the inherited economic down turn.”
Adamu said: “It is an acknowledged fact that no nation can achieve and attain growth and development without peace,” adding that: “Peace is not merely a possibility; it is constant reality that is always with us. Until we removed the chains we have put on it, to release it, so it can bless our lives and society.”
He stressed that there could be no peace without sustainable development and no sustainable development without peace.
He explained that President Buhari believed in national unity as a matter of political and ideological principle, reiterating that peaceful co-existence, mutual understanding, political stability and unity of purpose are necessary ingredient for rapid progress of any state and of the nation as a whole.
The minister charged on the nation’s citizens from all walks of life to continue to believe in the unity of the country, assuring that the nation is indivisible. He commended the leadership of Jigawa State Government and stakeholders for maintaining law and order during the ENDSARS protest.
