The Director-General Kano State Agency for the Control of AIDS (KSACA), Dr Sabitu Y. Shu’aibu Shanono has stressed the need for collaborative efforts between the state and implementing partner to effeciently improve management and treatment of HIV client in the state.
Dr. Shanono made the disclosure during a meeting with the In-charges of comprehensive treatment centres and Prevention of Mother to Child Transmission of HIV/AIDS (PMTCT) site which were formerly supported by Global Funds and now transferred to Sharp T03 Project funded by USAID held in the agency conference hall, today.
The director general expresses that the HIV response in the state just as all over the country is witnessing a lot of changes including the decreased of several partners operating which necessitated the need for proper monitoring and supervision of their activities to achieve the desired goal.
He pleaded with the staff in these facilities to be more dedicated to their responsibilities and requested for more support to the facilities from the SHARP TO3 Project.
Earlier, Sharp T03 Project Chief, Dr. Zippora Kpamo said they were in the state to support the government and its good people to achieve the dream of epidemic control of HIV.
She said” whatever support Kano wants we will make it available within what our donors have asked us to do. We are going to support the PMTCT in the state within our jurisdiction.
She emphasised the needs of working together to achieve the desired goals, according to a press statement issued by Aminu Bello Sani, the Public Relations Officer of
