Katsina State Government has conducted a two-day workshop for senior civil servants on attitudinal change and ethical conduct for the smooth operation of government activities.
Declaring the workshop open, the state Head of Service, Alhaji Idris Usman Tune said the workshop was to reawaken public servants on the need to imbibe the habit of fairness, truthfulness, neutrality and adherence to public service rules.
“The workshop was chosen to ensure moral and ethical rejuvenation of the Directors and Assistant Directors to be in time with Government Restoration Agenda,” he said.
He noted that the good moral conduct of the top public servants would invariably boost the morale of the subordinates under them toward putting their best for effective service delivery.
Earlier, the Permanent Secretary, Department of Establishment, Pension and Training, Alhaji Musa Rabiu Mahuta said the government would continue to train and retrain its civil servant to enhance their productivity.
Mahuta said the department has planned to organize their different workshops for 250 civil servants within this month.
He commended the state government for releasing funds to the department to conduct various training programmes.
Mahuta urged the resource persons to conduct the workshop with the expected requisite and professionalism of knowledge imparting.
