Alhaji Mustapha Muhammed Inuwa, the Secretary to the Government of Katsina has expressed his intent to contest for the Governorship seat of the state come 2023 elections.
Inuwa made this declaration during an interactive session with journalists in Katsina today.
He said his declaration followed several calls on him to join the race to enable him continue from where the present administration stop.
According to him, with his experience in governance who have served in various capacities, he is fully ready to confront the numerous challenges bedeviling the state.
He therefore solicited the support of the people and other stakeholders to enable him achieve the set goals for the party, the APC, to succeed.
On resignation from office, Inuwa said the electoral act is not specific on the time, “so you can resign on the eve of the primaries.”
“If the law says tomorrow I resign, believe me I will resign. But I want to tell you, we will go by the law.”
“I have a copy of the electoral act, we are studying it, we will do everything, I am a law abiding person, so I have no problem with that,” he concluded.
