Kano State Ministry of Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs has commenced 2021 promotion exercise for the 44 local government workers.
Declaring opened the promotional interview, the Ministry’s commissioner Alhaji Murtala Sule Garo said the exercise was part of the present administration commitment to add value to workers’ professionalism.
Alh Garo who was represented by the permanent secretary in the ministry, Alhaji Ibrahim Ahmad Sagagi added that government was also committed to paying workers salary as at when due despite economic challenges facing the nation.
Earlier, Director Promotion in the ministry, Alhaji Garba Yunusa said about 2,000 staff are expected to be promoted during the exercise.
He revealed that approval has been granted for the introduction of new notification letter of appointment with immediate effect.
