Kano State remains most peaceful and tolerant state on all matters related to Sociocultural and economic prosperity which make it ahead of its contemporaries on development.
This was disclosed by the Speaker Kano State House of Assembly Engr. Hamisu Ibrahim Chidari while receiving members of Nigeria Inter religious Council (NIREC) who paid a courtesy visit to the House today.
Chidari said that tolerance and understanding among Individuals, corporate organisations are among the top priority of the state government which placed the state ahead of others in terms of peaceful coexistence.
He further said that such understanding remain a key points for attracting people to Kano from different walk of life.
Speaker Chidari said the issue of religion is very important and most be taken with all seriousness and commended the council for its magnificent role in making peace and understanding among Nigerians.
He assured them that the House will support the activities of the council for peaceful understanding among citizens.
In his speech the NIREC Executive Secretary, Prof. Cornelius Afebu Omonokhua said they where at the House to seek the cooperation of the House, describing the state as one of the most tolerant state.
