The Emir of Kano, Alhaji Aminu Ado Bayero has called on the general public to desist from consuming expired and contaminated soft drink, popularly known as Dantsami (flavour) because of its danger to health.
The Emir gave the warning while briefing newsmen at his palace.
Alhaji Bayero said he received information from Ministry of Health on the effect of the products which affect kidney and kill others as result of consuming them.
The Emir also said the ministry has observed the outbreak of illness as the result of consuming contaminated food in this Ramadan.
Meanwhile, the Emir has assured Savanna Centre for Democracy and Diplomatic Development of support to any move that would go along way in promoting humanitarian services especially on their resolve to bring people closer to the government.
Similarly, Alhaji Bayero has hailed the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia for taking good step to provide conducive atmosphere for the intending pilgrims.
The Emir made the commendation while receiving the country’s Ambassador to Nigeria, Khalil Ahmad to introduce himself as newly consult.
Earlier, Amb. Ahmad told the Emir that he was at the palace to introduce himself and to solicit support in the discharge of his responsibilities.
In another development, the Emir has turbaned Abdul’Aziz Usman as new village head of Kirimbo in Kumbotso Local Government Area.
