Kano State government has donated N20 million to the victims of Katsina Market Fire incident.
Governor Dr. Abdullahi Umar Ganduje announced the donation during a visit to the state to sympathy with government and people of the state on the recent fire incident.
Ganduje who led a powerful delegation that include businessmen and APC state executives said the donation is to assist the affected traders towards alleviating their suffering.
He described the fire incident as unfortunate, saying “people of Kano people are deeply touch with the incident because, whenever affect Katsina affect Kano.
“ I am here with my encourage the business community who were concerned worried and have suffered the same fire tragedy in Sabon Gari Market in Kano to console you and people of the state over the sad fire incident.
“We pray for the recovery of losses and against future occupancies we commend Governor Masari for the quick constitution of fact finding committee,” Ganduje maintained.
Responding, Governor Aminu Bello Masari thanked the governor for the donation and concern on the problem that affect Katsina.
Masari noted that the donation will go along way in assisting the affect victims, describing the fire incident as the most devastating in the history of market fire outbreaks in the state.
