Inyass Maulud: Nigerian Muslims hailed

The 38th edition Maulud of Sheikh Ibrahim Inyass performs annually has been conducted in Sokoto, the capital of the state under the auspices of a famous organization called Majmaul Ahbab Sheikh Ibrahim Inyass.

The occasion was graced by Khalifa Sheikh Mahi Sheikh Ibrahim Inyass, the son of the late Inyass, who served as the guest speaker at the event.

The guest speaker used the occasion to appreciate the kind gesture from the Muslim Ummah of the country as the event took place despite the current precarious economic condition, insecurity and the Covid-19 pandemic, which is ravaging the whole world.

Khalifa Inyass noted that the occasion was an expression of love on their father by the people of the nation, expressing delight that the Muslim Umma had converged in the city under the above organization to commemorate the event.

On his part, the leader of the group that organizes the event yearly, Sheikh Dahiru Abubakar Kurmi said they started such a gathering in a room but later extended it to such magnitude, saying that at present it has achieved a national status.

Speaking at the event, the state governor, Alhaji Aminu Waziri Tambuwal stressed the need for fervent prayers for the nation due to the situation on ground in the country.

Tambuwal then called on the Muslim Ummah help in this direction so that peace would reign supreme in the nation.

Represented at the occasion, the Sultan of Sokoto, Alhaji Sa’ad Abubakar III expressed delight with the event, which he described as a good omen to the state, adding that the prayers offered in the state during the event served as a great achievement on the part of the Ummah in view of the current security situation the Ummah found themselves in.

The secretary of the group, Alhaji Rabiu Dambatta said the event showed the unity of the Tijjaniyya sect in the country.
