In commemoration of International Women Day, Permanent Secretary, Kano State Bureau for Land Management, Dr. Zainab Ibrahim Braji, has saluted the State Governor Dr. Abdullahi Umar Ganduje, for appointing more women to serve in his government.
Dr. Braji described him as a champion of women and youth, who appoints and gives intellectuals women chance to participate in decision making more than any governor in Nigeria.
She therefore, called on all women in the state to reciprocate with the Ganduje lead administration by dedicating themselves to the national development.
Dr. Braji said this day is set a side since 1975 in order to show love, care and respect to all women around the globe.
The permanent secretary, also called on government at all levels to give more women opportunity to serve and contribute their quota towards the development of their communities.
She advised husbands to allow their wives access to education and entrepreneurship for the benefit of themselves and the society.
Dr. Braji congratulated Her Excellency Prof. Hafsat Umar Ganduje and all other women for being a live to witness their day.
According to a statement issued by her spokesman, Murtala Shehu Umar and made known to The Triumph today quoted Dr. Braji stressing that “when you educate women you educate the whole world.”
