Kano State Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, Alhaji Murtala Sule Garo has led the newly elected chairmen of the 44 local government areas of the state on a courtesy visit to a philanthropist and elder statesman, Alhaji Aminu Alhassan Dantata at his Koki residence in Kano metropolis.
A statement from Farouk Ghali Masanawa, the Public Relations Officer of the ministry and made available to The Triumph, recently, contained this information.
Alhaji Garo said they were at the residence to introduce the newly elected chairmen and to seek his blessing and fatherly advice for the success of their administration.
Garo, 44 LGCs visit Dantata
The commissioner thanked Alhaji Dantata for his tremendous contributions to the development of the state, hoping that the tempo would be sustained.
Responding, Alhaji Dantata expressed appreciation for the visit, advising them to fear Allah in discharging their duties.
He pledged continued assistance to them for the well-being of the people of the state.
On his part, the chairman of Takai Local Government Area, who doubles as the state chairman of the Association of Local Government of Nigeria (ALGON), Alhaji Muhammad Baffa Takai thanked Governor Abdullahi umar Ganduje and the commissioner, Alhaji Garo for their support to the newly chairmen towards the development of their respective areas.
