Last Saturday, Kano city played host to teeming personalities who witnessed the wedding Fatiha of Fatima Musa Diso (Baby), the daughter of a Kano-based journalist, Malam Musa Diso and her groom, Buhari Rufai Muhammad.
The city was agog following the arrival of distinguished personalities from all walks of life.
It was a dream comes true for the groom, Buhari Rufai Muhammad and the bride, Fatima Musa Diso as they tied knot at Gidan Mai Unguwar Diso along Veterinary Road in the metropolitan Kano.
The event which brought prominent Nigerians together, started at exactly 11:00am with Chief Imam of Diso Mosque leading the solemnization process.
The Imam enjoined the couples to allow brotherly love to continue to grow between them, praying the couple should not lose the joy of the wise.
Prof. Jibril Isah Diso of the Department of Special Education of Bayero University, Kano, a childhood friend of the father of the bride, who was not only among the attendees, but was also impressed with the huge number of people that graciously attended the historic wedding Fatiha.
According to him, the day is a very important one both family will live to remember.
He urged the invitees to pray for the successful marriage life.
The Professor was optimistic that the bride and the groom would live up to high expectation and confidence reposed on them by a lot of people as he described the father of the bride as a great man with discipline.
Alhaji Tijjani Bello, Diso Ward head, commended the parent of the bride having them to witness a successful wedding ceremony, praying God to bless the marriage.
On his part, Malam Musa Diso, the bride father, said he was happy and delighted with turnout of the event, describing the day as the most difficult and eventful.
He added that it was worth remembering for those who knows the importance of raising the family.
He advised the couple to embrace the teaching of the Glorious Qur’an in addition to the tradition of Prophet Muhammad, peace be upon him, in matter of peace, love and harmony during their married life.
He thanked all those who attended the event and honored the invitation, wishing them happy journey back to their respective homes.
