APC Nigeria’s draw back –Wike

By Musa Diso

Rivers State governor and PDP presidential aspirant, Mr. Nyeson Wike, has described the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) as the nation biggest down fall.

According to him, the party, under the leadership of President Muhammadu Buhari has miserably failed to live up to its responsibilities.

The aspirant made the statement during his visit to People’s Democratic Party (PDP) secretariat in Kano recently.

He noted that the APC administration has demonstrated immense irresponsibility toward the well-being of the nation with dire consequences as witnessed in all facets of the nation’s life.

He urged the people of the country not to repeat the same mistake of voting APC in the next year’s general elections. He said that the citizens of the nation have since lost con““““fidence to the APC administration. He said the party has failed woefully in the fight against corruption, insecurity, poverty, unemployment and so on.

He added that if given the mandate, he would come out with policy and program that would revamp dormant industries in the state.

Wike said the state used to be the second, fast growing industrial state after Lagos, but unfortunately today it lags far behind industrial development “because almost all the manufacturing industries and factories in the area had been deliberately allowed to collapse which should not be the case.

” Wike vowed that if he was elected as a president of the country under the canopy of PDP in 2023, he promised to ensure that he does all he could to breathe life into all the dormant industries and factories in the state with the sole view of reactivating the economic base of the area.

In his speech, the state chairman of PDP, Alhaji Shehu Sagagi described Wike as a messiah that the nation is earnestly waiting for.

He said Wike is the only man with the requisite experience, exposure and mind set to salvage the nation, adding that the state is for Wike
