APC congresses: Chairman jittery but …

The caretaker chairman of All Progressives Congress (APC) in Adamawa State, Alhaji Ibrahim Bilal has said that the just concluded ward congresses were jittery and had sleepless night thinking there would be controversy.

APC chairman disclosed this in a session with journalists in Yola, recently, saying that the conduct of the peaceful primaries is a pointer to the fact that Adamawa APC is a united and strong house.

“In the build up to the congresses, I had sleepless nights thinking that we may not get the desired cooperation. But with the successful conduct of the congresses, I’m sure we will get it right in the coming engagements,” he said.

He added that: “Our ward congresses best in history of

Adamawa congresses,” Bilal boosted.

Bilal stressed that: “The just concluded All Progressives Congress (APC) ward congresses is the best in history due to its overall success, orderliness and peaceful conduct.”

He said in many wards, consensus arrangement was adopted while in others the option A4 was used, adding that this is most successful congress in the history of the state.

The party chairman thanked all the stakeholders and the various blocks in the party for their patriotic fervour which culminated in the overall success of the exercise urging them to maintain the tempo.

“I must candidly thank all our stakeholders for ensuring that this exercise is a huge success,” he said.

He thanked security operatives and officials of the party who were deployed from Abuja to carry out the exercise, saying that they have given good account of themselves.
