Ahmadu Danladi, Director Gabare Clinic and Maternity Hospital Sumaila has lauded Governor Abdullahi Umar Ganduje of Kano State for the allocation of 17 per cent to health sector in the next year’s proposed budget.
The director, who disclosed this during an interview with journalists in Sumaila Local Government Area recently, noted that with utmost attention Governor Ganduje accorded to health sector of the state, by investing a lot of resources, the present administration has taken the lead in the country.
He said the 17 per cent earmarked by the Ganduje administration to health sector is a good development that even surpassed the 2008 Abuja Declaration on health which has it that 15 per cent should be allocated to health sector by each state.
He urged other state governors to emulate Ganduje administration by placing emphasis on health sector in order to achieve the quality healthcare delivery service. He called on the people to support the leadership of Dr. Usman Tijjani, Executive Secretary of the state Private Health Institution and Management Agency (PHIMA) in his effort to sanitize the system with a view to achieving the desired objective.
